Workshops and Teaching

I run workshops for writers, from beginners to published poets, and also for doctors and other health workers. Some of my previous workshops are listed below. I am experienced at facilitating groups in various settings, and enjoy building confidence in those new to writing poetry.



Poet in Residence at the International Conference on the Social Context of Death, Dying and Disposal, University of Bath.

‘Poetry for the Petrified’ workshop at Prema Arts Centre, Uley, Gloucestershire.

February – November

Poet in residence at Gloucester Crematorium, contributing to ‘Written in Stone’ project in collaboration with Su Chard, Independent Funeral Celebrant.

The project culminated in a performance of words and music in October 2018 in the café at Gloucester Crematorium.

The evening featured new poems, favourite words chosen for funerals, photographs, and music performed by Lydia Kenny, Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year 2018.
